Postal Clerk Receives Navy Commendation Medal for Rescuing Drowning Child at Naval Base Coronado

NAVAL BASE CORONADO, Calif.-- A Miami, Florida native, who now is a postal clerk with the Fleet Post Office, received the Navy Commendation Medal here, August 13, 2024, for rescuing a drowning child on base. 

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Sarah P. Goode was swimming laps in the base swimming pool when she noticed a 2-year-old child in distress and pulled her to safety.
